PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
The St. Linus Preschool program was developed in order to meet the social and academic needs of children 3 years of age and above, and to prepare children for Transitional Kindergarten and Kindergarten. Our preschool curriculum is based upon the CA State Preschool Standards and the school adheres to all policies required for CA state-licensed preschools.
Our preschool also adheres to the philosophy, policies, and guidelines of St. Linus Catholic School, the Archdiocese of Los Angeles, and the Roman Catholic Church. The governing body of the preschool consists of the preschool director, school principal,
vice principal, and the parish pastor.
PRESCHOOL GOALS
DAILY SCHEDULE
Regular School Day (Mon.-Fri.): Session I: 7:40 AM – 11 AM
Session II: 11 AM – 2:40 PM
Minimum Day (Holidays TBA):
Session I: 7:40 AM – 10:00 AM
Session II: 10:00 AM – 12:20 PM
Half Day (one Session) Option: If your child will only attend one Session/half day (either morning or afternoon), you will be responsible to pay 75% of the current tuition rate for one child. You also have the option to send your child for a full day up to 20 times during the school year.
Snack/Lunch: We ask each family to bring snacks (in bulk) to be distributed to the children during snack time. Snacks are provided daily (except on minimum days). Your child will need a lunch if he/she attends a full day (both sessions).
TUITION, SERVICE HOURS, & FUNDRAISING OPTIONS
For tuition rates, please see current year Fees, Tuition Rates, and Fundraising Options Form (available in the school office and on school website). Please be sure to review the tuition information carefully, to determine which payment option is best for you and your family. If you have more than one child at St. Linus School, you qualify for the multi-child rate.
Service Hour Commitments:25 hours of service to the school, 9 hours of service to the parish during October for Fiesta Service Hours (Fiesta hours apply to ALL families).
FEES
1. Annual Fee $500: (per child, non-refundable)
This fee reserves a place for student(s) and covers: books, educational materials, subscriptions, High-speed Internet and WiFi costs, class celebrations, cultural celebrations, special events, etc., postage, paper goods, bathroom and cleaning supplies, textbooks, classroom and office supplies, student planners/agendas, playground equipment, disaster supplies, etc.
If Applicable: Second child due April 4 , Third Child due May 2
2. Preschool Fee $125 (per child, refundable before September 15)
This fee includes: CA preschool licensing fees, insurance, administrative costs, health fees, audio/health screenings, academic records and transcripts, student accident insurance, DCS annual fee, etc.
Preschool Forms: Seven forms are required by the State of California Department of Social Services before a child begins attending preschool:
Misc. Information:
Your child will have to be signed in & out every day: no one under 18 is allowed to do so. Anyone who signs out your child must be listed on their Emergency Card.
The children staying for both sessions will take a 45 minute nap. You will need to purchase a toddler size blanket. It will be sent home every Friday to be washed.

- Students must be in good health, provide proof of immunization*, fully toilet trained, and be able to participate successfully in the regular school program
- Children who demonstrate age-appropriate school readiness
